  • About Me: I am a retired Navy veteran and, during my 27 years of moving around, I have had the opportunity to study martial arts at various schools and alongside many fine people. I am a long-time student of Taekwondo, having studied at traditional and modern dojangs with both ITF-and WT-style curricula. I have also studied Shotokan karate and Tang Soo Do. My interest in Soo Bahk Do stems from my experiences with Korean martial arts. I first learned the Pyong-An patterns, Bassai, and Naihanchi while studying at a Moo Duk Kwan Tae Kwon Do school in college.
  • Interests: I love studying languages (currently Korean, Japanese, and French). I also enjoy working out, practicing Yoga (although I am terrible at it!), and reading. I do my fair share of sitting on the couch watching Netflix as well, in which case I am probably watching a Korean or Japanese drama. I am also trying to teach myself a bit about coding and am currently learning javascript and ruby.
